I don't know why this is, but recently, just across the street from home, I've been seeing various sports cars. Always in the parking area of a luxury apartment across the alley. And a different car each time.
Last week it was a Ferrari.
And yesterday, it was a Lamborghini.
What is going on??

Caterpillar Float
One of the highlights of the upcoming Taipei International Flora Expo is this caterpillar float. The expo opens next month, but today they put on a parade to promote it. Parades are planned daily at the expo grounds. Curious, and having done some translation work for them, I do plan to attend the expo.

Atayal Pop Music!
Wanna hear some pop music sung in the Atayal language?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUpm4pjC5io
Atayal is a language spoken by the Atayal tribe of Aborigines of Taiwan. It's one of the most ancient of the Austronesian languages, distantly related to Malay, Maori and Hawaiian.
The singer's pronunciation is very clear, plus the video has Atayal and Chinese subtitles (but alas no English).
